In 50 years I’ve had 6 dogs and 11 cats and I’m still amazed by the fact if they are brought up PROPERLY they can all live togetherSo, I used to have a dog named Sapphire who was best friends with my cat, Belle. Belle is cold and uncaring around all my other pets (she’s very sweet around me, though). However, when we still had Sapphy, she would always make sure Belle was doing okay and pretty much protected her from the other animals. When we got 2 new puppies, Belle hid under my bed and Sapphy stood guard for her. And Belle really loved Sapphire, and would sometimes play with her.Sadly, we had to give Sapphire away, and Belle really does miss her. That’s amazing how cats & dogs get along together. When I watched my pets playing together I thought that was unusual, but I see that many cats and dogs are true friends. What is not typical for my cat is the fact he, as a dog, goes out and walk in a forest. Maybe he thinks he is a dog LOL.
